Why did you choose to come to Wycliffe to study?
I decided to come to Wycliffe due to all the opportunities they had to offer, from different sports that I had never heard before like netball, rounders, squash, to the instruments that I had always wanted to play including the violin and piano.
What are your A-Level choices?
I am currently studying Chemistry, Economics and Maths A-Level, (and I have already completed Spanish)
What is one piece of advice you would give to someone looking to join Wycliffe?
If you are thinking of joining Wycliffe, my first piece of advice would be trying everything they have to offer out there, keeping an open mind. Joining to activities like CCF, D of E, and different clubs like cookery, young dragons, Art, Choir will give you great experiences during your school years and it will allow you to make new friends. As important as it is your academic performance, it will be your hobbies. They will progressively shape you, and it will provide you with skills that will be useful in the future.
What positive experiences have you had at school? In class? During Games? During trips and activities?
To me Wycliffe is the place that saw me growing, developing, and learning. I enjoyed every part of it, especially enjoyed my games sessions, in which in my 5 years I am delighted to say that I tried everything there was, including netball, rounders, hockey, volleyball, boxing, CrossFit, gym. It was such an experience learning these sports from zero, and all the support that I got from my teachers was key.
What is your biggest achievement at Wycliffe?
To this day, my biggest achievement at Wycliffe was becoming Deputy Head of School which I really enjoy, and I am proud of. In the last year, working with my team of 17 prefects has improved my leadership, and teamwork skills.
How do the teachers/careers department help you when you came to selecting A-Levels and considering a future career? What are your plans after Wycliffe?
When I was to chose my A-Levels I had a completely different idea of what I wanted to do. At the time, I was leaning more towards a business career. However, thanks to the career department and my research I realised that I would prefer doing something with Chemistry, therefore I am planning to go to the University of Nottingham to do Chemical engineering at the end of this academic year.
