Scholarships are awarded to the best applicants in their fields. Wycliffe Scholars benefit not only from a proportionate discount off the fees but also from the kudos of being recognised and celebrated for their ability, and from various programmes to support their time at Wycliffe. A successful Scholar will be a leader in their chosen field of expertise and a good role model during their time at Wycliffe.

We also encourage and welcome scholarship applications from external and international pupils. Special arrangements are made if the pupil is unable to attend the assessments.
Current Wycliffe pupils who hold previous scholarship awards can apply for further scholarships in their chosen strengths. Scholarships are held for the duration of a pupil’s time in the Senior School, provided their conduct is satisfactory and their level of work and commitment is in line with the expectations of a Scholar.
13+ (Year 9) Scholarship Assessments take place over one week in January. Applicants take part in the Scholarship Assessments when they are in Year 8. Pupils can apply for more than one Scholarship. Notification if an applicant has been successful or not, is sent by email within a few days at the end of the Scholarship assessment week.
Please note that the next round of 13+ Scholarships will occur in January 2025.

Transformational Bursaries are provided in conjunction with our partner Royal National SpringBoard Foundation, a charity who aim to identify and match capable children from disadvantaged backgrounds with boarding schools where they will most benefit. Wycliffe is an accredited member of Royal National SpringBoard Foundation. For entry in September, the bursary application deadline is 31st January, we do not offer bursaries for in-year admissions.
Short term hardship bursaries are available to existing pupils in certain circumstances, where the family suffer sudden and unexpected financial hardship, such that a pupil may not be able to continue to attend Wycliffe without means tested assistance.
If you feel that your family would qualify for a Transformational Bursary then visit the website for Royal National Springboard in the first instance. www.royalspringboard.org.uk
