There is a strong sense of family in the Houses, and through House Competitions, (House Drama, House Song, Sports Day or Inter House Quiz Night) – pupils’ feeling of belonging and celebrating individuality is strong.
Day House for boys and girls
Collingwood is home to just over 90 Day pupils from Years 9 to 13. Each pupil has their own desk, lockable cupboard and shelf space in a room with around 8 other pupils. There are plenty of areas to socialise and make friends, from the great Common Room to the balcony overlooking the lawns to the pool table.
Day and Boarding House for girls
Home to up to 40 girls, both Day and Boarders, the Haywardsend motto is ‘be a flamingo in a flock of pigeons’. Through our supportive, tightknit community each girl is encouraged to be the best version of themselves.
Day and Boarding House for boys
Home to 58 boys, Haywardsfield is a cosmopolitan, family-run House embracing individuality within a strong community of young men who grow to recognise their responsibilities. The oldest of the College’s Boarding Houses, Haywardsfield is steeped in character and history and set at the heart of the campus.
As a parent of an International pupil, I am incredibly grateful to be a part of the Wycliffe Community. Wycliffe provides a safe, nurturing and structured environment all while setting exceptional academic standards. Wycliffe is keenly aware of the individual potential for your child and creates goals to support an outstanding future for students. Day and Boarding House for girls
In the new Ward’s-Ivy Grove building, Ivy Grove has state-of-the-art facilities for approximately 40 girls. The Common Room boasts stunning views and the girls have been very involved in ensuring their new House feels like home.

A beautiful Victorian building significantly extended in 2012 to create a Common Room, additional bedrooms, kitchen and a roof terrace. Home to approximately 40 girls who pride themselves on giving their all in everything, and never giving up.
Day and Boarding House for Sixth Form
A Sixth Form-only House for boys and girls – comprised of three separate Houses arranged around a private garden. Loosley Halls is home to about 60 pupils from Years 12 and 13.

Up to 70 Day and Boarding boys would say Robinson has the best views of the Cricket on the sports field and a strong House spirit. It is the biggest boys’ House and here friendships for life are made.

Home to 49 boys, Ward’s is located within the Ward’s-Ivy Grove building, and offers a bright, modern Common Room with piano, pool table and kitchen.
