A beautiful Victorian building significantly extended in 2012 to create a Common Room, additional bedrooms, kitchen and a roof terrace. Home to approximately 40 girls who pride themselves on giving their all in everything, and never giving up.

Meet the House Parent – Mrs Sally Dudley
How long have you been at Wycliffe?
I have been at Wycliffe since 2006! Started as Head of Girls Games and the moved across to HsM of Lampeter three years ago. This is my third year in Lampeter.
What do you teach?
I teach PE, Games and Life Skills.
What are you looking to implement in-House this year?
We have far more Lower School Boarders this year, so the dynamics are very different. I will be looking for the Juniors to ‘buy into’ the House ethos of being kind, honest and sociable. We have spent the last two years updating and modernising the House aesthetics; the garden area is the project for this year!

About Lampeter
Lampeter is a happy, homely and friendly House.
A history: 1939-45: As Wycliffe’s buildings were taken over by the Meteorological Branch of the Air Ministry and the Naval Hydrographic Department, the staff and pupils were evacuated to St David’s College, Lampeter.
During the summer vacation of 2000: The Wycliffe Medical Centre building – known as ‘Cambray’ in Regent Street, together with the adjacent house ‘Komani’, also owned by the College, were linked, and completely refurbished to create a new Boarding and Day House, christened ‘Lampeter’ – in recognition of the College’s evacuation and life in that town during the Second World War.
2011-12: Building extension added to accommodate a further 26 beds and final phase of development completed.
2021: The Dudley family moved into Lampeter and set to updating the House with our House colours of navy and lilac, new modern, homely furniture and lots of prints and photos of House members. We aim to celebrate achievements and champion each other.
