Our Admissions process is simple, streamlined and as quick as it can be, whilst still being robust, thorough and fair. We work on the basis that each pupil is highly individual and therefore we treat each one as such. For Reception to Year 9, we can take applications at any point in the academic year – there is no formal deadline to submit an application. In the Development Year (for ages 15–17 years old), the entry points are both in September and January of an academic year and, for Year 12, we can take applications prior to the start of the academic year. There are exceptions, so please contact us.

Steps to Joining Wycliffe

An overview of the admissions process for Reception to Year 13.

  • Come and visit – attend an Open Event or book a visit.
  • Complete and send the Registration Form using the online form (link above) and pay the Registration Fee.
  • Send copies of your child’s two most recent school reports (for those who require additional support, please send your most recent Educational Psychologist’s report).
  • Sit our online CAT assessment – to be done under invigilation (the Nursery Class, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 do not need to take the assessment).
  • We invite your child to spend time at the School, in the form of day and overnight visits.
  • Wycliffe will then inform you of the decision regarding an Offer of Place.
  • To confirm your place, a deposit is paid.

Joining the Nursery Class

Your son or daughter can join the Nursery Class as soon as they turn three years old.

For entry into the Nursery Class:

  • Arrange to meet our Pre-Prep team during an Open Event, one of our activity events or on a mutually convenient date. You are more than welcome to attend as many events as you wish, where our Nursery Class teacher, EYFS Lead and Assistant Head, will be available.
  • Decide what sessions you would like for your child. Please note that we have a minimum requirement of three full days.
  • We invite your child to spend time within the Nursery setting.
  • Once your sessions have been confirmed with our Nursery Class teacher, we will send you a formal offer along with the acceptance paperwork.
  • Once you have accepted our offer, your child will be invited to attend some stay-and-play sessions during the term before they start.
