Please find below the Pre-Prep Frequently Asked Questions. If you are unable to find an answer to your question, please contact our Admissions team, who will be able to help.

How will I be kept updated with my child’s progression and find out about my child’s day?

The Pre-Prep staff will give you regular updates – as often as you need them. You will have the email address of your child’s class teacher whom you can contact for queries, no matter how small they may be.

Pre-Prep staff will share day-to-day updates on a platform called Tapestry.

What happens if I am delayed collecting my child?

Please contact Mrs Kitchen (Administrator) or your child’s class teacher as soon as you can, and we will continue to look after them until you arrive.

What extra-curricular opportunities can pupils participate in?

All of our extra-curricular activities are designed to cultivate individual expression, self-esteem and confidence in our children. These include weekly swimming and music lessons, along with regular Forest School, French, Art and Drama. Sports and games are played daily, making use of our outdoor facilities wherever possible. All these opportunities are provided within School hours, making room for crucial family time at the weekends.

What will my child be given to eat and drink?

Our catering team are extremely good at dealing with any individual dietary/intolerance/allergies or religious requirements that your child may have. There are always a variety of hot and cold options as well as meat, vegetarian and vegan options.

When do I pay School Fees and are there any upfront costs?

You can choose to pay the Fees by monthly direct debit or on a termly basis. There is a non-refundable Registration Fee of £125 to reserve your place, followed by a £750 deposit to secure your child’s place.

All costs are outlined in our Schedule of Fees.

Do I pay extra for wraparound care?

No. Our School approach supports a busy family life and we therefore offer wraparound care, starting with breakfast at 8.00am, with the day finishing at 6.00pm. There are no extra charges for Breakfast Club or after-school care, as this is included in the termly fee.

Fees include all food and extra-curricular activities.

How to choose a Pre-Prep School?

A Pre-Prep School starts children on their education journey between the ages of 3 and 7. There are a number of factors you should consider when choosing the best school for your child. Your criteria or range of options may include location, fit for your child, curriculum, facilities and whether the school offers wraparound care. And, if you have other children, where they attend school may able be a consideration.

What activities do children take part in at Pre-Prep School?

Many Pre-Prep Schools combine core curriculum subjects with play-led activities. In the afternoons, children are taught specialist subjects by specialist teachers in lessons such as French, swimming, Art and Music. Wycliffe offers a Forest School that gives children the opportunity to try new things, develop an appreciation for the environment and gain greater independence by making their own decisions. This blend of outdoor and indoor learning ensures children receive a well-rounded education at this important age.

How many members of staff will be supporting the classroom?

In each classroom, there is a teacher and a full-time teaching assistant.

We would love to welcome you to Wycliffe for a tour around our busy, contented, Cotswolds Campus.
