Our food is meticulously planned and nutritionally balanced. School meals and food are provided by Holroyd Howe who have an excellent reputation and work exclusively with independent schools in the United Kingdom.
Our catering team are extremely good at dealing with any individual dietary requirements that you child may have. We cater for vegetarians, vegans, gluten free, dairy free, lactose free, monosodium glutamate free pupils … to mention a few.
Prior to your child’s start date, you can meet with the catering team to discuss any specific needs in detail. It is important to us that children with specific allergies feel safe from an offending food type.
Food is sourced as locally as possible and freshly provided by suppliers. We have a three-week menu which rotates throughout the term. We offer balanced meals including a choice of a hot, cooked meat or vegetable dish with a selection of freshly cooked vegetables, potatoes, pasta or rice, a salad bar, jacket potatoes, homemade breads and a variety of puddings and fresh fruit.
Alongside a daily hot lunch, healthy refreshments such as sandwiches, crackers, milk, water and fruit are given to the children at break times and at the end of the day. It gives the children a chance to refuel, socialise together and power through to home time.
Children in the Nursery Class, along with the rest of Pre-Prep, have a hot lunch every day and they eat between 12 and 12.30pm – before the Prep School. The Nursery Staff sit and eat with the Nursery Class. This means that your child eats well and healthily, and they learn about the food, its origins and nutritional value, all while learning good table manners.
