OW Stewart Kennedy (P W 1979) is a drug & alcohol counsellor.
He left Wycliffe & studied at Aston University where he read for a BSc (Hons) in Business and Politics (2:1). After Aston he went to Hertford College, Oxford University where he read for a Masters in International Relations. After Oxford, Stewart had a successful career in banking; joining Bank of America in the City as an analyst in the global corporate banking group. It was during his extensive banking career that Stewart became alcohol-dependent. He attended 2 rehab clinics & an addictions hospital in central London.
On leaving his treatment programmes he was inspired to want to help others, or more specifically to help people to help themselves so he completed an MSc in Addiction Psychology & Counselling & has now been working in the Drug and Alcohol sector for 7 years with a number of leading brand names; from teenagers to retired people as addiction does not respect age or social demographic.
