Will was educated at Charterhouse, studied Agricultural Sciences at Newcastle University and served in the British Army.

His subsequent career in operations, engineering and manufacturing has spanned food, FMCG, clean-tech, energy, construction and hospitality across Europe and the Americas. Somewhere along the way Will gained an MBA from Cranfield and in 2012, set up Maplevine, a specialist consulting firm dedicated to supporting clean-tech businesses in the commercialisation of innovation. Will is Site Director for the Sustainable Energy Centre Ltd, part of Kew Technology an energy technology development company that develops and builds modular waste conversion plants.
In his spare time Will helps to run Minchinhampton rugby club and a sustainable woodland project, he lives in Chalford Hill with his wife Janey and children Olivia and Henry now both at Durham University.
